About partners and technology, part one...

As mentioned, in this post you'll read about who we currently work and partner with on the technology level. Might not be that surprising to you, but we focus on the following vendors, which to our opinion, offer the most comprehensive identity and security management software stack:

As of our company's history, we've gained a lot of expertise in using Novell's identity and security management software stack, but over the last two years we grew rapidly into our other key software stacks (Oracle, Microsoft) and also into some additional vendors we've been working with, like SAP, the BHOLD company a.o.

So let's start with a series of some technical stuff, we would like to let you know our recently developed custom (innovative) software which might be of interest to others, and for today I'll start with the “Advanced Role Management Plugin for the Novell Roles Based Provisioning Module”.

The “Advanced Role Management Plugin for the Novell Roles Based Provisioning Module”, also called our “mass mutation module” has been developed to allow customers to administer large quantities of user accounts and their role relationships using the secure and convenient web-based provisioning module (user application). At the time, the Novell Roles Based Provisioning Module only ships with the ability to do all these tasks one by one, which is in a typical identity management environment, or any other delegated user account administration case, quite inconvenient (registering 1'000 users one by one takes a while).

Below you'll find some screen shots about the application in action, needless to say that you start in a column wise - well defined spreadsheet...

based on:
- JBoss 5.0.1
- Novell RBPM 3.7
- Web-Service for Directory Abstraction Layer, URL: http(s)://[server]:[port]/IDM/vdx/service?wsdl
- Web-Service for Provisioning, URL: http(s)://[server]:[port]/IDM/provisioning/service?wsdl
- Web-Service for Roles, URL: http(s)://[server]:[port]/IDM/role/service?wsdl

...in one of our next postings you'll read about a nice Oracle WebLogic LDAP and SC authentication solution....

I'm looking forward to see you back again soon...

We have left the docks....

As announced, we “officially” launched this blog today.... and with this opportunity I would like to first wish you and your families a happy and prosperous new year!

Besides a people spotlight, you'll here find an introduction about what we do, our core competencies, our partners and methodology we're following and also some recently developed custom (innovative) software which might be of interest to others (like our Oracle Identity Manager Connector for Avaloq or the Advanced Role Management Plugin for the Novell Roles Based Provisioning Module)... so stay tuned!

In this first introductory posting, I would like to describe who we are and what we do...

We, which is the “Identity and Security Management Competence” of Cambridge Technology Partners, are a team of highly specialized and skilled individuals who basically work in the area of two solution offerings...

our consulting solution
- agnostic, business consulting (direction setting, analysis, requirements assessments, discovery workshops)

our technology solution
- vendor specific, technical consulting (design, development, testing, deployments)

On of our strengths certainly is, that we offer services for the whole project or to be more precise “program” life cycle...

  • Consulting
    • Requirement Assessments
    • Definition of Business Cases
    • Concepts and Design
    • Product Evaluation
    • Project Management
  • Technical Services
    • Proof of Concept, Feasibility Studies
    • Implementation and Deployments
    • Managed Services

We're delivering these services at a broad customer base, which ranges from finance and insurance, to retail and government and in one of our next postings you'll read about who we currently work and partner with (on the technology level)...

I'm looking forward to see you back again soon...
